Preorder
Preorder now so your gyros and baklava are set aside for 4 p.m. pickup at the next What the Truck event. We will have food for walk-up orders too, but preordering is the easiest way to beat the rush and avoid missing out if we sell out early.
The Craft
Love & Pita is owned and operated by Alex Psichas, who was born in Athens and raised in a Greek-American household. The food is rooted in family restaurant work: prep early, keep the kitchen clean, season with intention, and take no shortcuts.
Chicken and pork are marinated with carefully curated spices, layered onto the rotisserie, cooked, sliced, and wrapped with locally sourced tomatoes, red onion, crispy potatoes, and homemade tzatziki.
Community Service
The mission is simple: share authentic Greek flavors and promote philanthropy. Customers can buy a Gyro of Love for a person experiencing homelessness in Honolulu, and Love & Pita hand-delivers the meal.
Catering
Love & Pita is built for farmers markets, office lunches, private parties, military events, and community gatherings across Oʻahu. Keep the order focused on gyros, add baklava, or use Gyro of Love to sponsor meals through your event.
For catering, pop-ups, or Gyro of Love sponsorships, send the event date, location, guest count, and menu needs through the confirmed Love & Pita Instagram account.

What We’re Building Next
Love & Pita began with gyros, pop-ups, catering, and community meals. That food operation is still the foundation: real customers, menu decisions, event demand, and the day-to-day work of serving people well.
Behind the scenes, we are turning those lessons into practical operating systems for small restaurants: clearer catering follow-up, digital marketing experiments, menu performance tracking, demand planning, and community-impact reporting. The goal is to make the technical work of growth more accessible to mom-and-pop food businesses that cannot afford expensive consultants or enterprise software.
